S. Korea Deters Illegal Chinese Fishing Boats with Machine Guns

S. Korea had to use machine guns for deterring illegal Chinese fishing boats that are spotted on its waters off the western coast on Saturday, November 12, 2016. But although the local coast guards had to resort to using machine guns to scare the illegal fishing boats away, there are no casualties or damage reported on the part of the S. Korea's patrol boats.

Man Arrested After Climbing Bridge Tower in Busan in Anti-Presidential Protest

A 40-year-old man who climbed a bridge tower in Busan in an anti-Presidential protest was arrested Saturday morning. He climbed a tower suspending the cables of the Gwangan suspension bridge in Busan at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, to express his protest against President Park Geun-hye. He said he's not contented with Park's second apologetic speech on Friday regarding the whole Choi Soon-sil scandal. The man climbed the bridge tower hoping for his frustrations to be heard.

There has been a rumor on the possibility of President Park declaring martial law to contain the political crisis that her administration is facing right now.

Lonely Planet released a list that enumerates the Top 10 Cities to Visit in 2017 and Seoul was included in the list. The world's travel website publisher backed up its decision to include the capital city of South Korea on the list by stating “For over a decade, Seoul has been striving to become a greener, more attractive and user-friendly metropolis.” Seoul is also the lone Asian city that made the list, an article from Korea JoongAng Daily reported.
