BTS member Jimin has shattered records with his hit single "Who," becoming the longest-charting song by a male K-pop soloist in United World Chart (UWC) history. The track has maintained its presence on the global chart for an unprecedented duration while Jimin completes his military service.

"Who" ranked at #40 on this week's United World chart with 86,000 points and extending his record on UWC with 44 weeks. Released in July 2024 as part of Jimin's second solo album "MUSE," the song continues to demonstrate remarkable staying power across international markets.

The United World Chart compiles global music data based on official charts worldwide, weighted according to each country's music market size per International Federation of the Phonographic Industry statistics.

"Who" achieved immediate success upon release, earning a number one debut on the August 3 issue of the Billboard Global 200 and topping the Global Excl. US chart simultaneously. The song became Jimin's first to debut atop both of Billboard's global charts.

On the Billboard Hot 100, "Who" spent 33 total weeks on the chart, becoming the longest-charting song by a K-pop act at the time. In the UK, "Who" debuts at Number 4 this week; also earning Jimin a solo career-best and has since climbed to #5.

Jimin's song is the fastest K-Act song to reach this milestone on Spotify in history. "Who" also emerged as the sixth fastest track in history to surpass the 1.7 billion mark on the platform.

Remarkably, these chart achievements occurred while Jimin was formally discharged on June 11, 2025 after completing his mandatory military service. He completed his five weeks of basic training in January 2024, placing first as an outstanding trainee and received the Best trainee commendation award.

This success builds on Jimin's previous solo achievements. His debut album "FACE" (2023) became the best album debut by a Korean soloist on the 2023 United World Charts, while his single "Like Crazy" made him the first song by a Korean solo artist to debut at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 in history.

"Who" continues to break barriers for K-pop solo artists on the global stage, demonstrating the sustained international appeal of Korean music and Jimin's individual artistry.
