IZ*ONE’s Kim Minju Shocks Netizens On Her Reason Why She Rejected HYBE
Former IZ*ONE member Kim Minju turned down HYBE's offer for a very special reason.
As per a Korean media outlet's investigations, Kim Minju has been negotiating with Urban Works and HYBE Labels on her future. HYBE Labels have been embroiled in previous reports regarding the label recruiting former IZ*ONE members.
For a while now, Kim Minju has been working and practicing on her acting as well as auditioning for acting-related works. But even though this was the case, HYBE was adamant in recruiting her.
An insider noted that HYBE has been trying to recruit Kim Minju even contacting her current label, Urban Works. But luckily, Urban Works took a stand and rejected HYBE label's offer by noting that the company is respecting Kim Minju's choice.
Furthermore, due to the constant reports of being recruited by HYBE, Kim Minju has been feeling taken aback. The former IZ*ONE member has her eyes set on being an actress even when she was a part of "Produce 48," inevitably debuting with IZ*ONE.
When IZ*ONE was disbanded, Kim Minju was firm with her decision on becoming an actress, rejecting all offers from HYBE.
Currently, other former IZ*ONE members have also been advancing with their careers.
Kang Hyewon is also pursuing a career as an actress. Kwon Eunbi, Choi Yena, and Jo Yuri are currently promoting as solo artists. Both Sakura and Chaewon have been linked to joining HYBE Labels and the agency's upcoming girl group.
Furthermore, Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin are slated to debut in a new girl group under Starship Entertainment.
Japanese members Hitomi and Nako have returned to Japan and are not slated to appear in any upcoming industry-related projects as of writing this article and Chaeyeon, who will stay with WM Entertainment, has been appearing on, "Street Woman Fighter."
