LISA, Anitta, and Rema Just Made the FIFA World Cup's Most-Streamed Song. They'll Perform It Live in 21 Days.
The video had 2.7 million views in 24 hours. That's the opening number for "Goals," the latest single from the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album, released May 21 via SALXCO UAM and Def Jam Recordings. The collaboration brings together BLACKPINK's LISA, Brazilian pop star Anitta, and Nigerian Afrobeats act Rema - three artists from three continents, on the same track, for the same tournament.
The song was produced by Grammy-winning hitmaker Cirkut alongside Bava, PinkSlip, and Tropkillaz. The result is a three-minute percussive hybrid - Afrobeats rhythm structure, LISA's K-pop cadence, Anitta's Latin pop phrasing - that doesn't try to reconcile the three styles so much as stack them. "Three continents, one track," Rema said in a statement. "Bringing all our sounds together like this is a big moment for music on the world stage." LISA called it "an honor." Anitta described her connection to the World Cup as "deeply emotional. I'm Brazilian, after all."
"Goals" is the fifth release off the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album, following tracks from Jelly Roll and Carín León, Los Ángeles Azules and Belinda, Daddy Yankee and Shenseea, and Jessie Reyez and Elyanna. The tournament opens June 12 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico - co-hosted for the first time across all three countries. LISA, Anitta, and Rema are scheduled to perform "Goals" live at the opening ceremony at Los Angeles Stadium on June 12, alongside Katy Perry, Tyla, Alanis Morissette, and Michael Bublé.
K-pop's presence at the 2026 tournament runs deeper than a single track. BTS are confirmed to headline the first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey - the largest stage in the tournament's history for a musical act. The double booking of LISA at the opening and BTS at the final places K-pop at both ends of the same tournament for the first time. FIFA's 2026 edition is also the first World Cup to expand to 48 teams and 104 matches, making it the largest in the tournament's 96-year history. The US alone hosts 78 matches across 11 cities.
LISA has been one of K-pop's most active crossover artists since her BLACKPINK solo era. Her 2021 debut single "LALISA" set a then-record for a K-pop solo debut on Spotify. She has since collaborated with artists across hip-hop, R&B, and now Afrobeats and Latin pop. BLACKPINK's own presence at a major global sporting event dates to their 2019 Coachella headlining set - at the time, the first K-pop group to do so.
The full Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album release date has not been announced.
