IZ*ONE’s Sakura, Speculated To ‘Graduate’ From Group, HKT48, Big Hit Signing Imminent?
On the 29th of April, 2021, after being together for approximately two and a half years, one of the most iconic K-pop girl groups, IZ*ONE, officially disbanded due to the expiration of the IZ*ONE members' exclusive contracts.
The 12 members of IZ*ONE, being Jang Wonyoung, Miyawaki Sakura, Jo Yuri, Choi Yena, Ahn Yujin, Yabuki Nako, Kwon Eunbi, Kang Hyewon, Honda Hitomi, Kim Chaewon, Kim Minjoo, and Lee Chaeyeon, are now going their own separate ways after IZ*ONE's disbandment.
Netizens and WIZ*ONEs were quick to discuss and give their opinions on where the individual members of IZ*ONE would go.
Former IZ*ONE member Miyawaki Sakura, was speculated to join a Japanese girl group under Big Hit Entertainment. After recent events unfolded, that speculation is now slowly inching to reality.
As per personal fans and WIZ*ONEs on an online community, a Japanese magazine that is slated to drop around the end of May was recently leaked. The 'leak' showed the Japanese issue's cover model as IZ*ONE's Miyawaki Sakura.
Speculated as a July edition, the Japanese magazine was noted to begin distribution on the 21st of May. The cover features former IZ*ONE member Miyawaki Sakura. Sakura, not long ago, went back to Japan after she personally finished final projects with IZ*ONE.
Moreover, fans have been announcing that on the cover, there was a brief description that read, "Miyawaki Sakura, who recently returned to HKT48 after completing her promotions with IZ*ONE, and who recently announced her graduation."
If this is true, this edges closed towards the speculations of WIZ*ONEs and netizens that point Sakura towards signing with Big Hit Entertainment, now HYBE.
However, note that there have been no official statements released with regards to former IZ*ONE member, Miyawaki Sakura, graduating from HKT48.
