In May of 2021, K-Pop group GFRIEND sadly had abrupt disbandment after contract disagreements.

Since then, the former members have been focusing on their personal careers and most recently, GFRIEND's Yuju is the latest member to give an update regarding her upcoming plans, to the delight of personal fans BUDDYs (the fandom name of GFRIEND).

Not long ago, fans were given a sweet surprise as former GFRIEND members, EunhaSinB, and Umji announced that they would re-debut as a new three-member girl group under the label Big Planet Made.

A press release made by Big Planet Made with Tenasia shared that SinB, Eunha, and Umji have all signed with the agency, and the former GFRIEND members are gearing up to re-debut as a trio. Adding to this, Big Planet Made released Eunha, SinB, and Umji's first photos as a group.

Netizens were excited as GFRIEND was one of the most popular K-pop groups prior to their disbandment, and it seems as though BUDDYs will have more things to look forward to as GFRIEND's Yuju is now gearing up for her solo debut.

Notably, GFRIEND's Yuju, the main vocalist of the group, is preparing to make 2022 her year. A recent teaser poster has been posted via Yuju's official Twitter account, and it prompted fans that her music promotions have started.

This will be Yuju's first comeback in a year and two months since being a member of GFRIEND, and is the start of her solo career, making fans extremely excited.

Yuju's mini-album "REC.," will be dropping on the 18th of January and she will keep posting teaser photos until she makes her solo debut.

Stay tuned for more news and updates regarding Yuju and other K-pop artists!
