GFRIEND’s Yuju Officially Joins Kang Daniel’s Agency, KONNECT Entertainment!
The shocking disbandment of GFRIEND which was announced by Source Music rocked the K-pop entertainment industry for sure.
But now that months have passed, each member has been singing with new labels. Yerin has signed with Sublime Artist Agency and Sowon has signed with IOK Company as an actress. Just recently, another former GFRIEND member has gone on to sign with a new company.
Notably, KONNECT Entertainment was founded by Kang Daniel and has been rapidly growing not just through the acquisition of experts in Korea but also globally. At present, the artists under KONNECT Entertainment are CL and singer-songwriter Chancellor.
Previously, GFRIEND's main vocalist Yuju was reportedly in talks to join Kang Daniel's KONNECT ENTERTAINMENT. According to reports, Yuju has met with representatives from KONNECT Entertainment to discuss an exclusive contract.
KONNECT Entertainment previously confirmed that indeed they have met with Yuju to discuss a potential partnership, however, nothing was set in stone yet.
"We are planning to expand the artist lineup, but nothing concrete has been decided," KONNECT Entertainment commented.
Now it has officially been confirmed that former GFRIEND member Yuju has finally signed with Kang Daniel's agency, KONNECT Entertainment!
As of writing this article, on the 1st of September, KONNECT Entertainment stated:
"We have recently signed an exclusive contract with Yuju, who has a unique and powerful voice. She has proven her versatile potential as an artist and we will actively support her through our expert, optimized management so that she can express her full potential."
