Complete List Of Hanteo’s Top K-Pop Artists As Per Global Album Authentications

Hanteo Chart recently dropped the results of their mid-year report, consisting of data spanning from the 1st of January until the 20th of June. Hanteo Chart uses their Global Authentication data for albums that are physical to note the worldwide popularity of K-pop artists every year.

For 2021's first half, the US is the country with the largest number of authentications, garnering 19.97% of all K-pop album authentications. In 2nd place is Malaysia which was able to gather a total of 17.65% of authentications, following suit respectively are China, Philippines, Thailand, France, Singapore, Russia, Japan, and Indonesia.

Regarding consumers in terms of age, 58.66% were composed of K-pop fans aging in their twenties, teenagers make up 30.61%, and 10.28% of album authentications are made up of fans in their thirties.

Beyond fans, Hanteo Chart also released a list of the top 50 K-pop artists by their Global Index. This measures the popularity of K-pop artists from their global album authentications. Physical album sales usually show the amount of attention and popularity a K-pop group has at present.
