ITZY and aespa: MIDZYs & MYs Fawn Over Yeji & Karina’s Good Friendship!
MIDZYs and MYs (the fandom name of ITZY and aespa, respectively) melt after seeing Yeji and Karina interact with each other in an awards show which featured the two K-pop artists!
During the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (aka the 2021 MAMAs), both JYP Entertainment's ITZY and SM Entertainment's aespa had incredible performances that went viral. But a video of the leaders of the two K-pop groups interacting at the event recently blew up in popularity.
Notably, ITZY performed to a medley of their songs "LOCO" and "In the morning" which also had a storyline. Notably, "Squid Game" actor Heo Sung Tae directed Ryujin to eliminate her fellow K-pop idols. Aside from their performance, the members of ITZY were praised for their acting.
The performance of SM Entertainment's aespa also had fans at the edge of their seats as the K-pop group used their multiverse for the story of their performance. The iconic CGI snake that previously made appearances in their music videos and teasers was also present.

For the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards, aespa performed their title tracks, "Next Level" and "Savage." The K-pop girl group's outfits also garnered attention and the cinematography behind the stage was perfect for aespa's performance alongside their AI counterparts.
However, although ITZY and aespa's performances at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards took place in December, K-pop fans once again swarmed their performances with views after seeing ITZY's Yeji and aespa Karina's interaction online.
The two K-pop artists showed their friendship in a sweet yet short interaction. ITZY's Yeji was seen greeting Karina and the aespa leader mirrored Yeji's iconic "kitty" move in ITZY's "LOCO."
This made MYs and MIDZYs excited to see more interactions between ITZY's Yeji and aespa's Karina in the coming future!
