JYP Entertainment’s ITZY Joins The Company Of TWICE, BLACKPINK, & BTS In Latest Milestones Achieved
JYP Entertainment's ITZY made headlines due to reaching multiple milestones on the 26th of May. ITZY was able to garner multiple achievements on Spotify.
As most would predict, ITZY's Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna were able to grab these milestones using their most recent album, "GUESS WHO." Among the tracks featured in ITZY's album, their title track "Mafia in the Morning" has gotten the most attention.
In terms of achievements, more specifically, ITZY's monthly listeners on Spotify have gone above and beyond in terms of numbers. As of writing this article, two days ago on the 26th of May, ITZY has gotten beyond six million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Notably, this is the first time ever for ITZY to reach 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Moreover, JYP Entertainment's ITZY is the first 4th generation K-pop idol group to achieve this amazing feat.
A day before the 26th of May, JYP Entertainment's ITZY was able to garner 5.92 million listeners. Thus, ITZY has now turned into the No.1 4th generation K-pop group, in terms of highest monthly listeners. Even going beyond the previous record of (G)I-DLE who attained 5.91 million.
As mentioned above, now that ITZY has gone beyond 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, they are now the most streamed 4th generation K-pop group on Spotify.
As of writing this article, yesterday on the 27th of May, ITZY has now had a total of 6,068,030 monthly listeners on Spotify. Meaning that ITZY's Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna are the 8th highest South Korean entertainers in terms of monthly listeners in total.
Moreover, ITZY's most recent album, "GUESS WHO," is currently the highest-streamed female K-pop group album that has been released in 2021, overcoming (G)I-DLE's "I Burn."
Lastly, prior to ITZY, only BTS, BLACKPINK, and TWICE are the only South Korean entertainers who reached 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify. This means that ITZY is in the company of elite K-pop groups who will go down in history as legends.
