ITZY Make Their Unnies Proud As They Overcome TWICE In A Recent Milestone
On the 30th of April, ITZY dropped their most recent album, "GUESS WHO," alongside 6 tracks which were led by the title song "Mafia in the Morning." Since its release, JYP Entertainment's ITZY has reached multiple milestones with awards and charts.
Recently, ITZY once again made another milestone, and it is extremely impressive!
On the 11th of May, Billboard dropped the most recent rankings of its charts for the week, which ended on the 15th of May. From the K-pop groups who ranked in their charts for one of their most prestigious chart rankings, the "Billboard Global 200."
In the rankings, JYP Entertainment's ITZY was able to make it to the list. ITZY's most recent title track for "GUESS WHO" entitled "Mafia in the Morning" made its debut on the Billboard chart, propelling ITZY to new levels.
The 17th of May was also a big day as Forbes announced that ITZY was able to break their tie with JYP Entertainment's TWICE and SM Entertainment's aespa on the Billboard Global 200.
JYP Entertainment's ITZY was previously tied with TWICE and aespa as they had one track enter the Billboard Global 200 chart. "I CAN'T STOP ME" for TWICE reached the #31 spot and lasted for 15 weeks before leaving the chart.
SM Entertainment's aespa then previously made Billboard Global 200 with their immensely popular "Black Mamba" peaking at #138.
Notably, this is not ITZY's first time making the global chart which means that ITZY overcomes TWICE and aespa for the number of entries.
ITZY's "Mafia in the Morning" was able to take the 34th spot on Billboard Global 200 for the week ending on the 15th of May. "Mafia in the Morning" is now ITZY's second track to enter the aforementioned chart.
Now that JYP Entertainment's ITZY has made the Billboard chart twice, ITZY is currently the second female K-pop group to have reached this milestone, now being in the company of YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK.
