Mnet’s ‘Kingdom’ Heats Up: Stray Kids & BTOB Switch Songs For 'RE:BORN' Battle
As per reports released on the 21st of April, it was stated that the six competing K-pop boy groups would switch songs for round two of Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War."
Due to this, each team is garnering attention from multiple fandoms all over the world. Netizens are excited to find out what songs each K-pop boy group will perform on Kingdom's stage and how each K-pop boy group will pull off and add their own style and flavor.
Just before the next episode of Mnet's "Kingdom" Legendary War," it was announced that JYP Entertainment's Stray Kids and Cube Entertainment's BTOB were chosen as pairs to switch songs.
Essentially, this means JYPE Stray Kids will decide which BTOB song they will perform and the same for BTOB. To hype up the event, Mnet dropped the latest teaser video, which featured the two K-pop boy groups.
The teaser showed the two teams discussing which songs each will cover. To find out what JYP Entertainment's Stray Kids have been planning, BTOB's Changsub told fellow member Peniel to call the Stray Kids' Bang Chan, Peniel's good friend.
In the phone call, BTOB's Changsub inquired which track Stray Kids they will choose and perform. Stray Kid's Seungmin mentioned the track "Beep Beep."
BTOB's Eunkwang was not convinced, however. He then continues to ask Stray Kids what song they believe BTOB will perform. Stray Kid's Changbin proceeded to guess either "I am You" or "Hellevator."
After a while, JYPE's Stray Kids mentioned the three tracks of BTOB they might have chosen to perform. The possible BTOB tracks being, "Movie," "I'll Be Your Man," and "WOW."
BTOB's Peniel then asked Stray Kids what song they wanted BTOB to pick. Stray Kid's Changbin suggested their tracks "Back Door." BTOB's Changsub then revealed that his group is deciding whether to perform Stray Kid's "Back Door," "TOP," or "My Pace."
At the end of the video, Strat Kids' Han asked BTOB who they like the most in his group. The answer was not revealed and will be shown in the upcoming episode of Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War," which will air on the 22nd of April, at 7:50 p.m. KST.
