Starting Strong: Stray Kids' 'MIROH' Gets Most YouTube Hits On Mnet’s 'Kingdom' Stages
The 1st of April signified the first episode of Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War" being broadcasted. The episode contained the six groups in the show performing one hit song made by the group within 100 seconds.
The first one to strut their stuff was the K-pop group ATEEZ with their song "WAVE: Overture," which showed their unique pirate concept. After, BTOB showed what they were made of with their touching and haunting song, "Beautiful Pain."
After, they were then soon followed by SF9's "Good Guy," Stray Kids' "MIROH," The Boyz's "The Stealer," and lastly, iKON's "RHYTHM TA."
Their song presentation and performance battle broadcasted live online two months ago in February. When the broadcast debuted, fans from all over the world voted for which three groups had the best performance. This mattered a lot due to the fan votes being the sole basis for the rankings.
Similarly, on the 1st of April, Mnet uploaded the videos of the K-pop group The Boyz, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, iKON, BTOB, and SF9 on their official YouTube channel.
This was important due to the fact that YouTube views for the competitors' performance videos are also added to the scoring module.
As of writing this article yesterday, on the 5th of April, Stay Kids' performance of their hit "MIROH" went beyond five million hits, making it the most-viewed performance video. Specifically, the video has hit 5.88 million views. In totality, the performance videos of the six participating K-pop groups have gone beyond 15.59 million total views.
Additionally, Mnet released half of the results of the overall fan votes for the first episode of "Kingdom." BTOB with 540,621 votes was ranked 3rd, SF9 with 533,458 votes was ranked 4th, and ATEEZ with 504,215 votes ranked 5th.
Unfortunately, the 6th, 2nd, and 1st places will be revealed on the second episode of "Kingdom."
