EXO’s Baekhyun And IU Make History By Debuting On ‘Global YouTube Music Video’
YouTube's "Global YouTube Music Video" chart lists the most viewed music videos within a specified week. With this chart, netizens and viewers can now find out which music videos have the highest views and most famous ones around the globe.
To add to that, the music videos can be specified within a specific country, people can search the top music videos in 57 total individual countries.
Recently, YouTube has released the rankings of the "Global YouTube Music Video" chart for the most recent week, ending on the 1st of April. A handful of releases made their first appearance on the latest chart, and among them are music videos from two K-pop songs by solo artists; IU's "LILAC" and EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi."
To be specifically pointed out, EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi" MV was ranked at number 91. The MV had reached a total of 6.66 million views in the previous week.
Moreover, it is the only music video of a K-pop male soloist on the chart.
The music video of "Bambi" is also one of the highest trending music videos in general on YouTube. Currently, the music video is at number 23 in the ranking of "YouTube Music Videos Trending Worldwide."

On the other end of the spectrum, IU's music video for her latest comeback title track, "LILAC," entered the top 40 list of the "Global YouTube Music Video" chart. It made its debut at the 33rd spot. It garnered 14 million hits in the past week.
Currently, as of writing this article, "LILAC" is the top-ranked music video of a K-pop female soloist on the most recent chart. The only other music video under a K-pop female idol is BLACKPINK Rosé's "On The Ground."
