The Korean Business Research Institute began 2022 with a bang as they dropped their rankings regarding the popularity of K-pop boy groups for the first month of the year.
Greeting 2022 popularly, they once again released a brand reputation ranking but this time for K-pop girl groups. Did your favorite K-pop girl group make this month's popularity ranking? Find out below!
The data that The Korean Business Research Institute gathered regarding the brand reputation rankings for K-pop girl groups ranges from the dates of the 9th of December 2021 up until the 8th of January 2022!
Third-generation K-pop queens began the top 5 as SM Entertainment's Red Velvet, and JYP Entertainment's TWICE took the fifth and fourth, respectively. Red Velvet garnered a total index of 2,547,622 and TWICE was able to collect 3,067,624 for January.
Taking home the bronze medal is aespa, retaining their place at third with a brand reputation index of 3,497,177 this January. The K-pop girl group saw a 27.08% increase in their score since December.
The rookie K-pop girl group IVE came in at a very close second as they made their highly-anticipated debut on the ranking with a brand reputation index of 5,442,980 for January.
YG Entertainment's global K-pop girl group BLACKPINK remained at the top spot as they had a brand reputation index of 5,619,627 for January of 2022. BLACKPINK was able to have an 8.42% rise in its score since last month.
