Debut Of The Century: SM Entertainment’s GOT Excites Fans With ‘Step Back’ Stage Video!
BoA, Girls' Generation (SNSD), Red Velvet, and aespa; the female super K-pop group of the century, has finally made their stage debut, and fans are going crazy.
To the delight of netizens and fans, SM Entertainment's new project K-pop girl group GOT the beat made their highly-awaited stage debut at the online concert "SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS @ KWANGYA" on the 1st of January.
GOT the beat is the first announced unit in SM Entertainment's Girls on Top (GOT) project. The project shows female SM Entertainment artists come as one in many sub-units. Similar to SuperM, SM Entertainment will have artists from different groups come together, but uniquely the lineup will be rotational.
At present, GOT the beat consists of SM Entertainment artists such as BoA, Girls' Generation's (SNSD) Hyoyeon and Taeyeon, Red Velvet's Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa's Karina and Winter.
On the 1st of January at 1 p.m. KST, a handful of SM artists performed at the online concert "SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS @ KWANGYA," which could be watched live for free on YouTube and Beyond LIVE.
Notably, the project group GOT the beat showcases their talent together as a group for the first time at "SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS @ KWANGYA" with their debut song "Step Back."

To netizens and fans who missed GOT the beat's performance, their stage debut was later uploaded on YouTube entitled "GOT the beat 'Step Back' Stage Video," and fans could not get enough of the amazing charisma BoA, Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon and Taeyeon, Red Velvet's Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa's Karina and Winter brought to the table.
