GFRIEND’s Sowon Starring In First Cine-Rama After Signing With IOK Company With iKON’s Chanwoo!
Kim So Jung (more popularly known as former GFRIEND member, Sowon) and iKON's very own Chanwoo confirmed to co-star in an upcoming rom-com, Sowon's first drama after signing with IOK Company.
As of writing this article, today on the 30th of September, it was revealed that Kim So Jung and Chanwoo are going to star in the drama "Chilling Co-Habitation," which is a cine-rama, a combination of cinema and drama and it is going to be produced as both a film and a drama.
As per an official press release from IOK Company, Sowon is going to be taking on the lead role in an upcoming Cine-Rama entitled "A Chilling Cohabitation."
"Actress Kim So Jung was cast as main character Jeong Se Ri in CINE-RAMA A Chilling Cohabitation."
Notably, the "Chilling Co-Habitation" is going to be a horror romantic comedy about the character Jung Se Ri, played by Kim So Jung, who can see ghosts, and Song Ji Chan, played by Chanwoo, who becomes a ghost, as the pair end up living together.
Kim So Jung will be playing Jung Se Ri, a very bubbly character although she has a hard time living with the ability to see ghosts. With her is Chanwoo playing Song Ji Chan, a selfish second-generation chaebol who is righteous.
Chanwoo's Song Ji Chan becomes a ghost as he gets in an accident. After some time, he improves his personality as he grows with Sowon's Jung Se Ri.
Notably, both Sowon and iKON's Chanwoo tested their chemistry at a script reading session with supporting actors such as Kim Ye Ji, Lee Yoo Jin, Lee Joong Mun, Song Young Sook, Park Sang Hoo, and Joo Soo Kyung.
Furthermore, the Cine-Rama "Chilling Co-Habitation" will be dropped initially as a film in the first half of 2022 before continuing as a drama as per OTT services and YouTube.
