Former GFRIEND Leader Sowon Signs With IOK Company As A Musical Artist & Actress!
It was previously reported that the former leader of GFRIEND, Sowon, is reportedly in talks to join IOK Company, the agency that is under Jo In Sung, and the same agency where B.I (former iKON leader) is the executive director.
As per reports coming from Newsen, Sowon is currently in discussions with IOK Company on an exclusive contract. Although the K-pop idol has not yet signed the contract, a verbal agreement has been made.
Currently, IOK Company is the agency that is home to actors such as Go Hyun Jung, Jo In Sung, Kim Ha Neul, and many more. Adding to their prestige, IOK Company has also gone on to acquire YNK Entertainment, taking actors Shin Hye Sun and Kim Hyun Joo under their wing.
After previous speculations and reports, it is finally official that Sowon, known by her proper name as Kim So Jung, has signed with IOK company but not just as a musical artist.
As per recent reports, former GFRIEND member, Sowon, has finally joined IOK Company and will begin promoting under her name Kim So Jung as an actress in the agency.
Just today, IOK Company made the announcement through an official press release, giving a warm welcome to Sowon!
IOK Company announced:
"Sowon, who has been loved as the leader of GFRIEND, will change her stage name to Kim So Jung and make a new leap forward with IOK Company. We will give our full support to Kim So Jung so she can shine and show off her endless potential and talents as an actress.
We ask for your support and interest in Kim So Jung's future activities."
IOK Company went on to share that Sowon will not just be active as an actress but in various fields as well.
