Fans Impartial Towards Resident Evil Movie Images Showing Claire, Leon, Jill Valentine & Zombies
Images revealing the first look from the upcoming film "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" give audiences their first look at Claire Redfield alongside other fan favorites from the video game!
"Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" is set to be directed by Johannes Roberts, and will fully reboot the franchise after the first six films under Paul W.S. Anderson which starred Milla Jovovich. The movie will be set in 1998 and is going to adapt the first two Resident Evil games.
Although Milla Jovovich's movies were truly successful due to them earning more than $1 billion at the box office combined, a lot of diehard Resident Evil video game fans critiqued it heavily as it strayed too far from the games.
Notably, Kaya Scodelario will play Claire Redfield and Robbie Amell as Claire's older brother Chris.
Moreover, Hannah John-Kamen will play Jill Valentine, the partner of Chris, and Avan Jogia will be fan-favorite Leon S. Kennedy, a RPD recruit who helps Claire look for her brother. "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" will also have Tom Hopper and Lily Gao playing Albert Wesker and Ada Wong, respectively.
"Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" is slated to drop in November this year. Thus, Sony has dropped the first images for the upcoming movie. Kaya Scodelario and Avan Jogia were featured and seen playing Leon and Claire in an image.
More images show Albert Wesker, Brad Vickers, Jill Valentine, and Chris Redfield in action. The third image shows Lisa Trevor, the Umbrella experiment. Fans who have seen the recently released images are excited for the true-to-video game story while others are not so impressed.
