Stray Kids & iKON’s LEGENDARY Remixes Of BLACKPINK + BLACKPINK’s Lisa Slays On 'Kingdom' Round 3
BLINKs from all over the world, did you feel that? YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK's presence was felt in the most recent episode of Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War."
On the 20th of May airing of the Mnet K-pop idol competition show, "Kingdom: Legendary War," fans went wild on the first half of the 3rd round which was the anticipated collaboration unit battles. It also initiated Mnet's "Kingdom" individual group "No Limit" performances.
The 3rd round of "Kingdom" is unique to prior rounds due to it being divided into two parts. During the first part of the 3rd round, the six competing K-pop groups were split up into two teams of three groups each for performances of rap, dance, and vocal units.
The 1st team was composed of ATEEZ, Stray Kids, and BTOB formed, while the 2nd team was made up of THE BOYZ, SF9, and iKON formed the other.
For the second half of Mnet's "Kingdom" 3rd Round, each of the six K-pop group competitors did a performance that matched with the presented theme, "No Limit."
In the "No Limit" theme, the participants were free to perform whatever song they wanted to perform and to ask any featured artists to participate.
Since they were the first group to perform, iKON began things with an explosive performance of a BLACKPINK's B-side entitled "Pretty Savage." To make things more spicy, BLACKPINK's very own maknae and main dancer, Lisa, went on to participate with them for their performance.
But iKON was not the only K-pop group to have chosen a BLACKPINK song. JYP Entertainment's Stray Kids also decided to perform a hard-hitting remix of BLACKPINK's hit track "DDU-DU DDU-DU" and their own hit song "God's Menu."
iKON and Stray Kids were the first to perform and the remaining four performances of the 3rd Round of Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War" will be broadcasted next week.
