Earlier this week, a variety of reports surfaced regarding a new girl group that is debuting under YG Entertainment very soon.

After YG Entertainment filed a trademark application for "Baemon" and "Baby Monsters," speculation regarding their highly-anticipated girl group began to float among K-Pop stans. Recently, an insider from the agency confirmed the reports that YG Entertainment is preparing to launch a new girl group.

Speculations about YG Entertainment's upcoming girl group

Initially, it was reported that the highly-anticipated girl group would be having the signature YG Entertainment style. However, it is also made clear that the rookie-monsters-to-be will have a different vibe than their sunbae, BLACKPINK.

Moreover, some reports have speculated that the upcoming YG girl group will have a hip hop yet youthful color. Now, on May 20, more details about the upcoming addition to the YG Family were spilled by an agency insider.

Furthering the speculations about a youthful concept, the YG insider revealed that YG's third-generation girl group would be including members in their mid-teens.

In addition, the insider revealed that trainees from all over the world applied to debut under the company that made legendary K-Pop girl groups such as 2NE1 and BLACKPINK. It was also revealed that the members of the upcoming YG girl group had undergone an average of 4-5 years of training, with some starting to work on their dream debut at just the age of 10.

If the insider's revelations are true, they will become the first teen girl group to come out from YG Entertainment. They will be the first girl group to debut under YG Entertainment in five years.

Meanwhile, as of this writing, the name, as well as specific details regarding the members of the upcoming YG Entertainment teen girl group, are yet to be disclosed.
