Day6

Day6 is a South Korean rock band with K-pop influence. The band is signed under the label JYP Entertainment along with other world-renowned artists such as TWICE, ITZY, Stray Kids, 2PM, and more. Day6 made their debut almost six years ago on September 7, 2015. Their debut was with their EP entitled "The Day." It was a successful debut since the EP was able to peak at No.2 on the World Album Chart of Billboard as soon as a week following the release.

Currently, there are five members of Day6 and they are Sungjin (the leader, main vocalist, and rhythm guitarist), Jae (the lead guitarist, other main vocalist, and the face of the group), Young K (main rapper, main vocalist, and bassist), Wonpil (another main vocalist, keyboardist, synthesizer, and visual), and Dowoon (the drummer, lead vocalist, and maknae).

The band used to have six members, but when Junhyeok (former keyboardist and lead vocal) left in February 2016 they turned into a five-man group.

The band has been inactive for almost a year now but it has been confirmed that Day6 is once again gracing the stage as soon as April. Day6 is currently preparing for their first, in a long time, full group comeback in almost a year. Prior to this, the members took some time off, wanting to focus on their health.

As per recent and exclusive reports from Newsen, a trusted media outlet, Day6 have been working hard on an album for their comeback. JYP Entertainment and Day6 are eyeing April for this comeback.

Additionally, the album being prepared would be the Day6's first ever album in almost a year since their most recent album entitled: "The Book of Us: The Demon," which was the last album both Sungjin and Jae were a part of, until now.

Since the surfacing of the report, JYP Entertainment has released a statement confirming that their band, DAY6, are truly in the works on their comeback with an album. No specific information and details were given, however.

JYP Entertainment shared that the famous K-pop and rock fusion band will return very soon, stating that "DAY6 is preparing their new album and we will let you know when more details are confirmed."

My Days, the fandom name of Day6, are very eager and excited that Day6 will finally return.

Day6, along with 2PM, ITZY, NiziU, Stray Kids, and TWICE's comebacks will help in making 2021 a big year for JYP Entertainment. Congratulations, JYP nation!
