Earlier this year, "It's Okay Not to Be Okay" lead actress Seo Ye Ji was embroiled in a series of controversies with regards to her previous relationship with actor Kim Jung Hyun.

Seo Ye Ji has laid low for two months after the issue slammed against her broke out. The actress even announced her withdrawal from the drama "Island" and did not attend the 57th Baeksang Awards despite winning the "Popularity Award."

In June, however, fans were relieved to have received an update from the actress. Seo Ye Ji went to her official fan cafe to break her silence. In the post, Seo Ye Ji shared a photo with the message, "it is something that makes me feel good, knowing there are people that believe in me."

Two months since Seo Ye Ji's fan cafe update, fans received another amazing news as reports from various Korean sites cited the actress' return to the small screen.

Reports stated that according to an insider source, tvN has given the script for the drama "Eve's Scandal" to Seo Ye Ji. " We are currently in the process of coordinating our opinions and waiting for her final response," an insider source from tvN revealed.

Meanwhile, Seo Ye Ji's agency, Gold Medalist, confirmed that the actress was indeed offered the lead role for the upcoming tvN drama "Eve's Scandal" and is currently reviewing it.

Should Seo Ye Ji accept the offer she will take on the role of Lee Ra El who was blessed with a fatal charm thanks to her genius father and gorgeous mother. After a failed marriage with a CEO from a corporate group, she becomes the center of an expensive divorce lawsuit.

Previously, Seo Ye Ji starred in the hit 2020 drama "It's Okay Not to Be Okay" which made her gain international fame. The 31-year-old actress also starred in a variety of dramas including "Lawless Lawyer," "Save Me," and "Moorim School." Seo Ye Ji has also recently starred in the movie "Recalled."
