GOT7’s Jay B On Collaborating With IU, Update On Solo Career, And More!
Last month, GOT7's Jay B did an interview for "The Star," a South Korean magazine corp. The GOT7 member and soloist spoke up on matters such as who he wants to collaborate with in the future, his solo release, among others.
In the interview, GOT7's Jay B expressed how he felt about him and GOT7 parting ways with JYP Entertainment. It was reported that it was a group decision, and everyone considered each other's futures.
Jay B went on to share by stating that as the leader of GOT7, he asked each member to state specifically how they want their future to look. This, in turn, made their decision somewhat easier.
GOT7's very own Jay B stated that he himself went on to ask his groupmates' confirmation by telling them that they should be a team if they wanted to do this passionately. They should not do this just for the sake of keeping GOT7 together. With that, together, they decided not to split up, even though they went on to do solo projects.
Even though they parted ways with JYP, Jay B shared that everyone in GOT7 was thankful for being formed.
Regardless if they disbanded or not (thankfully, they did not), Jay B expressed the importance of GOT7 to him. He grew not just as a leader to the group but as a better person.
The amount of support he gains from his fellow members and Ahgases is so overwhelming, it is what made him the Jay B that Ahgases know and love now that he is also venturing into a solo career.
With regards to the future of his aforementioned solo career, GOT7's Jay B went on to spill whom with he wants to have a collaboration in the near future. The person Jay B wants to collaborate with is none other than the queen herself, IU.
Aside from her charisma and overall talent, Jay B wants to collaborate with IU because her vocal round and tone are amazing. But Jay B went on to add that it might be difficult for the All-Kill K-Pop idol to do hip-hop alongside him. He is still going to do his best.
"If you like my song, I'm gonna appreciate it so much if you featured in it," the Got 7 member said hopefully.
As the interview came to an end, Jay B teased fans by saying that he will be releasing his solo tracks soon.
