DSP Media's APRIL has been active since 2015. However, due to the bullying controversy that started in the previous year, the K-pop girl group stopped activities, which eventually pointed towards their ultimate disbandment the previous month.

To the delight of her personal fans, former APRIL member Lee Hyunjoo has officially been acquitted of all 7 charges regarding the bullying allegations that were previously brought up towards her.

Lee Hyunjoo's legal representative explained, "The decision to not send the case against Lee Hyunjoo and her family has been made. It has been confirmed that the decision to not appeal has been made to all seven complaints".

Not long ago, the members of APRIL alongside their label DSP Media sued Lee Hyunjoo and her family for defamation. But the police judged that it was difficult to prove that the content posted online contained false rumors and malicious intent brought towards the former K-pop idol.

"As the case against Lee Hyunjoo and her family have been closed, we will take strict legal action against malicious comments. In the future, we plan to continue responding in accordance with legal procedures to ensure that the truth is not distorted in relation to Lee Hyunjoo's bullying controversy," Lee Hyunjoo's representative went on to add.

Furthermore, APRIL member Kim Chaewon did not agree with the police's decision and has gone on to file an objection.
