Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon Reaches Impressive Milestone Only A Handful Of Female Soloists Have Reached In Hanteo With ‘INVU’!
Girls' Generation's very own Taeyeon is still amazing at breaking records!
To the delight of netizens and SONEs, the fandom name of Girls' Generation (aka SNSD), Taeyeon is reaching new highs with her most recent album, "INVU," and its title track of the same name!
Not long ago, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon made her highly-anticipated and now immensely successful return with her third full-length album entitled "INVU" and its title track of the same name. This showed how fans of the K-pop soloist truly love and support Taeyeon.
On the 21st of February, Hanteo Chart announced that Girls' Generation Taeyeon's new K-pop album "INVU" sold an amazing total of 142,019 copies during the first week of its release, spanning from the days belonging on the 14th until the 20th of February.
This marked a new personal record for Girls' Generation's Taeyeon. Notably, the K-pop soloist's previous first-week sales record, set by her 2019 album entitled "Purpose," was 132,818 and she was able to beat her own record with more than 10k album sales.
Adding to this, Girls' Generation Taeyeon's "INVU" also reached the fourth-highest first-week sales of any album by a female soloist in the history of Hanteo. The only K-pop female soloists ahead of the SNSD leader are BLACKPINK's Lisa with "LALISA," BLACKPINK's Rosé with "R," and IU with "LILAC."
