SM Entertainment Supremacy: SMTOWN LIVE 2022 Reaches Impressive Milestone!

SM Entertainment started off 2022 with a huge band as their online concert "SMTOWN 2022 : SMCU EXPRESS @KWANGYA" was so successful it was able to break an amazing record.

As of writing this article, yesterday on the 1st of January, SM Entertainment artists flexed their talent as the label had their online concert entitled "SMTOWN 2022 : SMCU EXPRESS @KWANGYA"

Notably, 51 million streams from 161 different regions were recorded for the online concert, which was able to break an important record. SM Entertainment's most recent milestone has broken its previous record of 35.83 million streams from 2021's SMTOWN Live "Culture Humanity" concert.

This means that SM Entertainment has set a new record for the highest number of streams ever achieved by a Korean online concert, making fans of SMTOWN extremely happy.

The online concert, which was streamed for free on multiple platforms, showed performances and collaborations from popular SM Entertainment's artists, which include BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee's Onew, SHINee's Key, SHINee's Minho, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, aespa, H.O.T.'s Kangta, EXO's Kai, Red Velvet, NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, and WayV's Kun and Xiaojun.

The online concert from SM Entertainment also showcased the bomb debut performance of SM Entertainment's new project girl group GOT the beat!

The SM Entertainment girl group consists of BoA, Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon and Taeyeon, Red Velvet's Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa's Karina and Winter and fans truly got an amazing debut from the super girl group!

Furthermore, the second half of the online concert had a DJ event which had Hitchhiker, DJ HYO (aka SNSD/Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon), Raiden, IMLAY, DJ GINJO, J.E.B, MINIMONSTER, and Mar Vista.
