ITZY’s Yeji Suffers Severe Injury, Will Be Absent During The 2021 Asia Artist Awards!
Injuries in the K-pop industry is something that is unavoidable at times. Regardless, when K-pop idols do accidentally go through an injury, their label will do everything to ensure that they come back to full health as quickly and as seamlessly as possible.
This was recently evident when one of the most popular 4th generation K-pop idols, ITZY's very own leader Yeji, suffered an unfortunate injury.
To the dismay of MIDZYs, the fandom name of ITZY, JYP Entertainment has gone on to recently announce that due to an unfortunate back injury, ITZY's Yeji will not be attending the 2021 Asia Artist Awards (also known as the 2021 AAA).
JYP Entertainment's statement, which was released on the 2nd of December, is as follows:
"Hello, this is JYPE.
We would like to inform you that ITZY's Yeji will not be able to attend the 2021 Asia Artist Awards today due to the back injury she sustained while pre-recording her performance.
The doctor advised her to minimize movement and get plenty of rest, so we ask fans to understand our decision for her to sit out in order to prioritize her health.
We will do our best for her recovery."
Although MIDZYs will surely miss her, regaining her 100% health is understandably the main priority at the moment. Netizens and fans are wishing ITZY's Yeji a speedy recovery!
Notably, the 2021 Asia Artist Awards will occur on the 2nd of December. The biggest names in the Korean entertainment industry will surely be there!
