YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK has been making recent headlines as the K-pop girl group's fifth anniversary is coming soon and with it, their secret project entitled "4+1 PROJECT." So far, it is confirmed that a BLACKPINK movie will be dropped in August this year.

Beyond this, no other details have been released but netizens and BLINKs (the fandom name of BLACKPINK) are hoping for a musical release as Rosé and Jennie have been spotted in America.

Rumors of BLACKPINK's Lisa have also surfaced, hinting that the Thai rapper is also in the US. But if Lisa is in America, perhaps the BLACKPINK main dancer is there for other reasons beyond the "4+1 PROJECT," such as her solo debut.

You hear that right, BLACKPINK's Lisa's solo debut might be dropping very soon.

As of writing this article, yesterday on the 12th of July, news outlets have reported that BLACKPINK's Lisa will begin filming her MV for her coming solo debut within the week and YG Entertainment has dropped a statement regarding the matter.

Just last year, YG Entertainment went on to reveal the members of BLACKPINK who will be dropping solo releases this year are BLACKPINK's Rosé, Lisa, and then Jisoo. This is right after the success of BLACKPINK's first full album "THE ALBUM."

Three years ago in 2018, BLACKPINK's Jennie was the first BLACKPINK member to drop a solo debut with her hit track "SOLO." Following her is Rosé, who made her solo debut with her first solo single album entitled "R."

BLACKPINK's Rosé's album had two tracks; "On The Ground," which was the title track, and "Gone" and now that Rosé is finished promoting her solo album, BLACKPINK's Lisa is up next and after silence for a very long time, YG Entertainment has dropped an update.

"Lisa will film the music video for her new song this week. She will be making her solo debut this summer," YG Entertainment finally confirmed.
