Fifth Anniversary Project: BLACKPINK In Your Theaters Soon

YG Entertainment's superstar girl group is celebrating their fifth anniversary this year and BLINKS are in for a special treat.

Since its debut in 2016, BLACKPINK has become a household name in the Korean pop industry. The four girls of BLACKPINK, Jennie, Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa, are currently the hottest idols that K-Pop has seen. They have become the trendsetters of music and fashion not just in South Korea but also in the whole world.

On June 16, YG Entertainment announced BLACKPINK's upcoming project, a gift to fans in celebration of its fifth year anniversary since its debut. The four-membered girl group will be launching the "BLACKPINK 4+1 PROJECT" that includes a number of huge surprises for fans to enjoy. 

As part of the "BLACKPINK 4+1 PROJECT," YG Entertainment confirmed in a press release that BLACKPINK will be releasing their movie, "BLACKPINK THE MOVIE." The said film featuring the members will hit theaters in South Korea and 100 other countries worldwide on August 8, 2021.

Fans will get to witness the four BLACKPINK members share their most treasured memories throughout the five years of their careers. It was also announced that "BLACKPINK THE MOVIE" will include a series of unreleased special interviews of the members.

Additionally, YG Entertainment also shared that the upcoming film will also include five-song performances from their previous concert tours, "THE SHOW" and "IN YOUR AREA."

Meanwhile, "BLACKPINK THE MOVIE" is confirmed to be screened by CGV. According to reports, CGV will be offering an immersive experience to fans by incorporating 4DX technology to emulate a live concert experience. The company will be offering various viewing formats to fans including "Screen X." In this format, fans will get to enjoy "BLACKPINK THE MOVIE" surrounded by 3 walls of the screen for an immersive experience.
