‘THE SHOW MUST GO ON’: Netizens Believe BLACKPINK’s Lisa Hinted Her Solo Release
Since the success of BLACKPINK's Rosé's solo debut, BLINKs and personal fans have been highly-anticipating Lisa's solo debut and it seems it might be coming sooner than everyone thought.
As of writing this article, a couple of days ago on the 6th of July, BLACKPINK's Lisa uploaded a photo saying 'The Show Must Go On' on her official Instagram page. Currently, the photo has over 4 million likes. No caption was posted which both confused and excited the fans.
Netizens and BLINKs immediately noted that the post could be a possible hint towards BLACKPINK Lisa's upcoming solo debut, which is rumored to be released this month! Following this, "The Show Must Go On" immediately trended on Twitter on the day the photo was posted.
Additionally, personal fans and BLINKs noticed that an art collective based in Denmark called SUPERFLEX, uploaded a similar photo on the 14th of February, 2020. SUPERFLEX tagged BLACKPINK's Lisa in the photo on the 6th of July, which was then uploaded by Lisa on her Instagram page.
Following this, SUPERFLEX revealed the message of their uploaded photo.
"THE SHOW MUST GO ON exhibited at #friezela with @kukjegallery. The Show Must Go On repurposes the aesthetics of commercial signage to rebrand the end of humans. The epoch where we took center stage-the Anthropocene-is about to end. But other species will take the spotlight and inhabit our infrastructures once we are gone. New life will flourish, and the show will go on, with or without us," SUPERFLEX revealed.
It should be noted that two members of BLACKPINK, Jennie and Rosé, were in LA. 'The Show Must Go On' is set in LA, thus this makes BLINKs and personal fans believe that BLACKPINK's Lisa is also in LA, gearing up for her solo release.
Beyond this, neither Lisa nor YG Entertainment has released any official statement. Stand by for updates regarding BLACKPINK's Lisa's coming solo debut.
