Special Surprise For BLINKs? BLACKPINK Announces Enigmatic ‘4+1 PROJECT’ For 5th Anniversary

One of the most famous music groups in the world today, YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK made its debut with the agency on the 8th of August last 2016. 

From multiple hit songs, a plethora of broken records, Jennie and Rosé's successful solo debut, and all other plans in the future, the Korean girl group BLACKPINK truly changed the K-pop industry when they made their debut.

This year will mark the 5th anniversary that Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa were introduced to BLINKs all over the world. Five years with BLACKPINK should truly commemorate a special event or release to reward BLINKs, and this seems to be the case.

For their upcoming 5th anniversary in August, BLACKPINK seems to be working on a special project. Thus, BLINKs are once again immensely excited as multiple possibilities are once again available for the BLACKPINK surprise dubbed "4+1 PROJECT."

To further hype up the fans of BLACKPINK, YG Entertainment has already released a teaser for BLACKPINK's upcoming project. On BLACKPINK's official Twitter account, a teaser poster was posted revealing only the title "4+1 PROJECT."

The really cryptic "4+1 PROJECT" is very open-ended and is open to multiple interpretations from netizens and fans. The teaser uses BLACKPINK's iconic font and a simple backdrop and color palette, only using BLACKPINK's distinct colors, Black and Pink.

Aside from this, no other information has been released regarding BLACKPINK's upcoming project. Could it be a new song from BLACKPINK? A new album (a follow-up to The Album)? Maybe even perhaps a new member? Or even possibly an upcoming concert?
