APRIL

As of writing this article, on the 23rd of June reports confirmed that the police had cleared Lee Hyunjoo's brother of charges pertaining to defamation as he previously revealed that the reason why Lee Hyunjoo left APRIL was due to being bullied by the members of APRIL

As per new outlets, it was revealed that the decision to clear the charges was due to the fact that Lee Hyunjoo's brother did not have any intention to defame DSP Media's APRIL. It was also revealed by police that the members of APRIL did bully Lee Hyunjoo.

At present, DSP Media has responded with the cleared charges by dropping an announcement with regards to their failed defamation charges on Lee Hyunjoo's brother.

As per legal insiders from DSP Media, the agency released the following statement:

"Some media outlets have reported that the investigative agency decided to clear Lee Hyunjoo's younger brother of charges after accepting that she was bullied by the members of APRIL, but this is far from the truth.

To fully quote the exact reason for charges being cleared without distortion, 'the charges were cleared as it is difficult to say that there was an intention of defamation and a recognition of false information.'

There was no confirmation of the members of APRIL regarding the bullying allegations, and charges were cleared with the reason that the accused had no recognition of false information in the posts that he wrote.

We request for information that is different from the truth to not be circulated without confirming the facts."

Netizens have expressed their concern regarding the bullying scandal as both Lee Hyunjoo and the members of APRIL are undergoing a huge amount of stress.

Hopefully, this issue will find a conclusion soon so that both parties will be able to move on.
