Are you ready for Reveluvs? After waiting for almost two years, SM Entertainment's Red Velvet is finally making a comeback!
As per earlier reports from Korean media, SM Entertainment's Red Velvet is gearing up for its highly-anticipated comeback. Red Velvet's comeback was reportedly set in August, as per initial reports pointing previously in April.
Red Velvet's last complete release was with The ReVe Festival "Finale," which garnered a lot of good reviews and awards.
The reason why Red Velvet has been on hiatus is due to Wendy's, Red Velvet's main vocalist, accident ahead of the release of "Psycho." Now that she is healed and at 100%, Red Velvet is now ready to return to the stage as a complete force.
Prior to the announced comeback, the members of Red Velvet have been releasing sub-unit and solo releases. Irene made her debut on the big screen and released "Monster" with Seulgi. Wendy then debuted as a solo artist with "Like Water."
Recently, Red Velvet's Joy made her solo debut with her remake album, "Hello," which garnered acclaim domestically. As for Red Velvet's maknae, Yeri has been busy with her acting projects.
Ahead of the initial reports, Red Velvet's agency, SM Entertainment, has released an official statement with regards to Red Velvet's comeback.
As per reports from Newsen, SM Entertainment has confirmed Red Velvet's comeback stating, "Red Velvet is currently preparing a new album with a comeback in August as their goal. Please anticipate it a lot."
Red Velvet has been dearly missed, and now that it has been confirmed that the K-pop girl group will make a comeback, Reveluvs are extremely elated.
Only two more months until Red Velvet finally makes their anticipated return, and their fans will finally bask in the glory of the queens of SM Entertainment. Perhaps an online concert or a year-end performance will also take place, but nothing has been reported beyond the comeback.
