Byungchan Of VICTON Receives Hate After Admitting That He Likes Red Velvet’s Joy's ‘Hello’

Red Velvet's Joy made her solo debut on the 31st of May with the release of her music video of her title track, "Hello." The title track is from Red Velvet's Joy's new remake album which is also entitled "Hello."

Before Joy's solo debut, she has already been a part of multiple OST (original soundtrack) projects for K-dramas such as "Hospital Playlist", "Tempted", and "The Liar and His Lover." 

In addition, Red Velvet's Joy has already acted in 2 out of three of the aforementioned K-dramas where she sang the OST. The K-dramas are "Tempted" and "The Liar and His Lover."

Notably, Red Velvet's Joy is the second member of Red Velvet to debut as a solo artist this 2021. The first member being Red Velvet's main vocalist, Wendy, as she dropped her debut mini-album, "Like Water," three months ago in March.

Due to the support of Reveluvs and Red Velvet's Joy's talent, her new album has garnered success not just domestically but internationally as well. Even notable K-pop idols have admitted that they love Joy's new work.

In the 2nd of June, VICTON's Byungchan topped as the #1 topic on Nate's Pann online community message board for teenagers. This happened right after Byungchan posted an Instagram story with regards to Red Velvet's Joy's title tracks. 

VICTON's Byungchan also added in his Instagram story a caption saying: "The songs are good. I recommend them." 

Byungchan of VICTON then started getting negative direct messages on his personal Instagram. Among the multiple messages, 'fans' went on to question if he has a crush on Red Velvet's Joy and some even directly ordered the VICTON member to not do it again.

In a recent V Live broadcast, VICTON's Byungchan said that he does not care about the messages and comments.
