Reveluvs Show Their Undying Support As Red Velvet’s Joy Tops iTunes Charts With 'Hello'

Red Velvet's Joy dropped her solo debut on the 31st of May with the release of her music video of her title song "Hello." The title song came from Red Velvet's Joy's remake album which is also entitled "Hello."

Prior to her solo debut, Red Velvet's Joy has been a part of a plethora of OST projects for K-dramas such as "Hospital Playlist", "Tempted", and "The Liar and His Lover." 

Moreover, Red Velvet's Joy has also gone on to act in 2 out of three of the aforementioned K-dramas. The K-dramas being "Tempted" and "The Liar and His Lover."

Red Velvet's Joy is the second member of Red Velvet to debut as a solo artist this year. The first member being Red Velvet's main vocalist, Wendy, as she previously dropped her debut mini-album in March, "Like Water."

Thus, with Red Velvet's Joy's new album, she has garnered success not just domestically but internationally as well.

As of writing this article, Red Velvet's Joy's "Hello" will officially drop tomorrow on the 3rd of June. Albeit the release of the title song of the same name was already released on the 31st of May.

It has gone on to top the music charts, Bugs and Genie. Aside from that, Red Velvet's Joy's "Hello" has gone on to top iTunes Top Albums charts in 26 countries all over the world.

The 26 regions being Malaysia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Finland, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Egypt, Qatar, Singapore, Colombia, the Philippines, Brunei, Thailand, Paraguay, Trinidad and Tobago, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Mongolia, Taiwan, Guatemala, Laos, India, and Indonesia.

Red Velvet's Joy's "Hello" is a remake album of popular tracks from the 1990s and 2000s. The title track, "Hello,", is also a remake of Park Hye Kyung's song in 2003. "Hello" is a modern rock track with lyrics full of hope and renewal.

In addition, Red Velvet's Joy's "Hello" also includes a song entitled "Je T'aime." The track was originally performed by "Hey!" previously in 2001.
