NCT, MONSTA X, BTS, & More, The Only K-Pop Boy Groups To Chart On ‘Billboard 200’

Charting on the "Billboard 200" is a level any K-pop group should be honored to achieve. Internationally acclaimed Billboard made the "Billboard 200" chart to rank the most popular albums in the United States every week. 

Thus, being able to chart on the "Billboard 200" signifies the international fame of a K-pop group. As of writing this article, only 8 elite K-pop boy groups have gone on to make Billboard's "Billboard 200."

Here is a complete list of K-pop boy groups who made it in "Billboard 200" as of writing this article:

#8 Starship Entertainment's MONSTA X

MONSTA X was able to chart on the Billboard 200 in February of 2020. "All About Luv" was able to spend two weeks on "Billboard 200" even went on to peak at the 5th spot overall.

#7 SM Entertainment's SuperM

2/2 of SuperM's albums were able to chart on "Billboard 200." Their album "SuperM" made it to the #1 spot in 2019 and even stayed on "Billboard 200" for 10 consecutive weeks. SuperM's other album, "Super One" peaking on the "Billboard 200" at the 2nd spot, staying on the chart for four weeks.

#6 BE:LIFT Lab's ENHYPEN

Only one month after the release of ENHYPEN's second mini-album entitled "Border: Carnival," the album was able to make it to the 18th spot on "Billboard 200."

#5 YG Entertainment's BIGBANG

The first-ever K-pop boy group to enter "Billboard 200," BIGBANG' album entitled "Alive" went on to peak at the #150 spot in 2012 and in 2016, BIGBANG's "Made" peaked at the #172 spot  on "Billboard 200" as well.

#4 HYBE Labels' (formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment) TXT

During the March of 2019, TXT's "The Dream Chapter: Star" was able to peak at the #140 spot on "Billboard 200." After that, TXT's "Minisode 1: Blue Hour" peaked at the #25 on the chart last year. Additionally, TXT's Japanese album, "Still Dreaming," was also to make "Billboard 200."

#3 SM Entertainment's NCT

NCT, including its sub-units, have the following album enter the "Billboard 200" chart: NCT 127's "Regular-Irregular", peaking at #86 and "We Are Superhuman" peaking at #11, and "Neo Zone" peaking at #5.

#2 SM Entertainment's EXO

SM Entertainment's very own EXO entered the "Billboard 200" with EXO-K's "Overdose," peaking at #129. More albums under EXO that entered the chart are "The War", "EXOdus",  "Obsession," and "Don't Mess Up My Tempo."

#1 HYBE Labels' (formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment) BTS

BTS has a whopping 13 albums that charted on "Billboard 200" starting with "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt.2." 

Moreover, HYBE Labels' BTS has 5 albums that peaked at #1 on the "Billboard 200" chart. The 5 BTS albums being: "Love Yourself: Tear", "Love Yourself: Answer", "Map of the Soul: Persona", "Map of the Soul: 7", and "BE."
