MONSTA X 5th Annual MONBEBE Fan Concert Cancelled
Starship Entertainment's K-pop boy group, MONSTA X, has been active since May of 2015 and since then have been garnering a steady flow of fans and awards.
The members of MONSTA X are Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M. Moreover, Monsta X is also under the US label Maverick Agency as of February 26, 2019.
Sadly, the K-pop boy group's most recent plans have been canceled due to regulations with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Starship Entertainment has officially announced on their social media that the part of MONSTA X's event, the 5th annual MONBEBE Fan Concert that is supposedly scheduled for this weekend, has been totally canceled.
The Fan Concert was supposed to be scheduled to both go live and is viewable online for as long as the in-person fans/audience had to follow strict COVID-19 rules and regulations. Unfortunately, in an official statement released by Starship Entertainment to MONSTA X's official social media accounts, the company had to cancel the event abruptly due to the latest local guidelines and procedures.
Starship Entertainment official statements are as follows:
"Hello. This is Starship Entertainment.
We regret to announce that the MONSTA X 5th OFFICIAL FANCLUB MONBEBE FAN-CONCERT offline concert schedule to be held in YES24 LIVE HALL on March 6 (Sat), 7(Sun), has been canceled.
We have been preparing the offline concert while following the guidelines of the government and local authorities regarding the COVID-19 social distancing, temperature checks, medical questionnaire and wearing a mask.
(...)
However, despite the social distance stage maintenance, further guidelines from local authorities have not been confirmed. Later the local authorities suddenly decided that we must follow the prohibition of any meeting and gathering [of] more than 100 people in the metropolitan area mandatory quarantine guidelines. It is unavoidable that we decided to cancel the offline concert."
Unfortunately, this seems to be the best course of action to guarantee the safety of fans, workers, and MONSTA X. To read the full statement from Starship Entertainment, please click this link.
