Just last March, South Korean actor and "Moon Lover: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" star Ji Soo was embroiled in a series of controversies.

The 27-year-old actor was one of many Korean celebrities accused of school bullying and violence. In a post, an anonymous author who claims to be Ji Soo's middle school classmate slammed the actor for various allegations of bullying. The anonymous poster also accused Jisoo of smoking. Not long after the initial confession, various claims that accuse Ji Soo of alleged sexual violence floated on social media.

Because of the issue involving the actor, he was withdrawn from his drama "River Where The Moon Rises." Ji Soo's bullying and violence scandal has brought about a huge loss for the production team of the drama including financial damages as well as low ratings.

Such damages compelled the production team, Victory Contents, behind the drama "River Where The Moon Rises" to file a compensation lawsuit against Ji Soo. In an official statement, Victory Contents announced that they are suing Ji Soo and his agency KeyEast Entertainment for ₩3 billion KRW ($2,661,771 USD) in damages.

Since then, Ji Soo has issued a written apology in response to allegations of school violence. However, the actor denies the claims of sexual violence pressed against him.

Now, almost two months since the issue swept up Ji Soo's promising career, the actor is fighting back against the false accusations pointed towards him. Ji Soo's legal representative shared that the actor has filed a criminal complaint about defamation. They also stated that an investigation on the people who uploaded false accusations against Ji Soo is currently ongoing.

"Our client will continue to actively take legal action against those who defame him by posting false information or curse at and insult him with unspeakable words," Ji Soo's legal team stated.
