K-pop superstars BLACKPINK have returned with explosive force, as their new single "JUMP" (뛰어) conquers international music charts just hours after its July 11, 2025 release.

BLACKPINK's new digital single "JUMP" topped iTunes charts in 47 countries, according to YG Entertainment. The track claimed the #1 position on iTunes Worldwide Song Chart while reaching #3 in the United States and #4 in the United Kingdom, demonstrating the group's sustained global appeal.

The success extends beyond iTunes. "JUMP" earned platinum certification on China's QQ Music platform and topped Japan's AWA Hot Trending Songs chart, proving BLACKPINK's dominance across major Asian markets.

BLACKPINK's "JUMP" music video achieved over 19 million views on YouTube, setting the biggest music video debut of 2025. The overwhelming fan response caused technical issues on YouTube, with the platform experiencing glitches due to unprecedented real-time engagement.

The video earned 1 million likes in just over an hour, making it the fourth-fastest music video by a female K-pop act to reach this milestone. Within hours, view counts exceeded 9.3 million with 1.8 million likes.

"JUMP" sees BLACKPINK boldly venture into hardstyle territory, written by TEDDY, Diplo, 24, Zikai, Claudia Valentina, Jumpa, Malachiii and Jesse Bluu, and produced by Diplo, 24, Boaz Van De Beatz, Zecca and Ape Drums. The collaboration with Grammy-winning director Dave Meyers for the music video adds another layer of international credibility.

The track represents a significant sonic departure from their previous releases, incorporating electronic dance elements with cinematic guitar riffs and unpredictable hooks.

"JUMP" premiered live during BLACKPINK's DEADLINE World Tour opening night at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on July 5, marking their first full-group performance in 2 years and 8 months.

The DEADLINE World Tour spans 31 shows across 16 cities, including stadium stops in Los Angeles, New York, Paris, and London. Following their Korean dates, the group performed at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles before continuing to Chicago, Toronto, and other major international venues.

The comeback follows a period where each member established successful solo careers. ROSÉ released her debut album "rosie" in December 2024, LISA dropped "Alter Ego" in February 2025, JENNIE's "Ruby" arrived in March 2025, and JISOO released her EP "Amortage" on Valentine's Day 2025.

These solo ventures saw each member exploring different musical territories while building individual fan bases, with all albums performing strongly on international charts.

"JUMP" marks BLACKPINK's first new music since 2023's "The Girls," which was released specifically for the mobile game "Blackpink The Game". Their last major album release was 2022's "Born Pink," which topped the Billboard 200.

In South Korea, "JUMP" immediately claimed #1 positions on Naver VIBE and Bugs music platforms while securing top rankings on Melon and Genie, demonstrating strong domestic appeal alongside international success.

The synchronized global and local reception reflects BLACKPINK's unique position as artists who maintain Korean market relevance while achieving unprecedented international crossover success.

The success of "JUMP" reaffirms BLACKPINK's status as global superstars capable of disappearing for years and returning stronger than ever. Their ability to simultaneously dominate charts across dozens of countries while breaking YouTube records demonstrates sustained popularity that few artists achieve.

As BLACKPINK continues their world tour throughout 2025, "JUMP" serves as both a triumphant return statement and a preview of their continued evolution as artists. For fans who waited nearly three years for new group material, the explosive reception proves the wait was worthwhile.

"JUMP" is available on all streaming platforms. The music video can be viewed on BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel.
