LE SSERAFIM's Huh Yunjin has been selected as a Recording Academy voting member for 2025, joining 15 other HYBE artists in this prestigious Grammy organization. The milestone comes as her self-written songs continue gaining millions of streams worldwide.

The 23-year-old singer-songwriter has achieved dual recognition this month: membership in the Recording Academy's 2025 class announced July 9 and growing success with her personal musical projects separate from the hit K-pop group.

Huh Yunjin joins an unprecedented wave of 16 HYBE Labels artists invited to become Recording Academy voting members, including TOMORROW X TOGETHER's Yeonjun, ENHYPEN's Jungwon, SEVENTEEN's Woozi and Vernon, Zico, Bumzu, and all six KATSEYE members.

The Recording Academy's 2025 new member class includes nearly 3,600 music professionals, with 49% women, 56% people of color, and 60% under age 40. As a voting member, Yunjin gains the right to participate in Grammy nominations and winner selections.

"I'm incredibly honored to be named alongside fellow artists, seniors, and producers as a Recording Academy voting member," Yunjin said through Source Music. "I entered this path because I love conveying thoughts and stories through music. This opportunity brings both excitement and deep responsibility."

Yunjin's creative output extends far beyond LE SSERAFIM's group material. Since August 2022, she has released five self-composed solo tracks: "Raise y_our glass," "I ≠ DOLL," "love you twice" (피어나도록), "blessing in disguise," and "Jellyfish".

These introspective songs showcase her songwriting abilities and personal storytelling. "I ≠ DOLL" features lyrics describing judgment she faces as an idol based on physical appearance, while "love you twice" references LE SSERAFIM's fandom name Fearnot.

Her collaboration work includes features on J-Hope's "I Don't Know," GroovyRoom's "Yes or No" with Crush, and MAX's "STUPID IN LOVE".

Beyond performing, Yunjin has established herself as a creative force within LE SSERAFIM. She served as main producer for "No Reason to Go Crazy" from their fourth mini-album, directing recording sessions and providing vocal guidance to members.

She has co-writing credits on multiple LE SSERAFIM tracks including "Blue Flame," "Impurities," "No Celestial," and "Good Parts". She also collaborated with Japanese artist Gen Hoshino on lyrics for "Kawaii" from their fourth Japanese single.

LE SSERAFIM is currently on their first world tour "Easy Crazy Hot," which began April 19, 2025 in Incheon, South Korea. The Asian leg includes stops in Taiwan (July 19), Hong Kong (July 26), Philippines (August 2), Thailand (August 9-10), and Singapore (August 16).

All four initial Asian city concerts sold out immediately after tickets went on sale, demonstrating the group's powerful global appeal. The North American leg begins September 3 in Newark, with additional stops in Chicago, Grand Prairie, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas, and Mexico City.

The inclusion of 16 HYBE artists in one Recording Academy membership wave represents an extraordinary achievement, highlighting the growing global influence of K-pop. For Yunjin, who debuted with LE SSERAFIM on May 2, 2022, this recognition comes just over three years into her professional career.

The American-born singer previously competed on Produce 48 in 2018, ranking 26th before eventually joining Source Music in 2021. Her journey from elimination to Grammy voting member exemplifies the evolving landscape where K-pop artists gain recognition in Western music institutions.

The dual achievements of Recording Academy membership and solo music success position Yunjin among a new generation of K-pop artists who balance group activities with individual creative expression, potentially influencing both Korean and American music industries through their Grammy voting participation.

LE SSERAFIM continues their Easy Crazy Hot world tour through August 2025 before the North American leg begins in September.
