aespa’s Comeback Just Leveled Up With A 10 Minute Teaser Video, ‘ep1. Black Mamba’
On the 4th of May, reports from Ilgan Sports suggested that SM Entertainment's rookie K-pop girl group, aespa, is on the verge of finalizing details for their upcoming and highly anticipated comeback this May.
SM Entertainment's aespa went on to share that they are preparing a lot of content that MYs can be a part of. To confirm aespa's comeback, SM Entertainment stated, "It is true that aespa will make a comeback this May. The exact date will be announced soon."
Coming from reports, aespa's upcoming comeback will be a continuation of the story that they previously introduced with their debut track, "Black Mamba." In their upcoming comeback, SM Entertainment's aespa will be showing MYs the beautiful world of Kwangya.
SM Entertainment's aespa has already released two sets of teaser photos. The first set of teaser photos featured the members of aespa in individually edited photos which showcased their comebacks theme.
The second set of aespa teaser photos showed Karina, Winter, Giselle, and NingNing preparing in a studio alongside their ae versions.
Initial speculations of aespa's comeback were placed on the 17th of May at 6 p.m. KST, but a recent Twitter post has slated a different date.
Alongside aespa's Twitter post, SM Entertainment also released a 10-minute video which showcased the members of aespa, alongside other characters, strutting their acting chops and fans are loving it.
In aespa's 10 minute video entitled "aespa 에스파 'ep1. Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe", Giselle, Winter, NingNing, and Karina were featured being in class, playing a video game, editing graphics, and swimming in a room, respectively.
The video teased how Black Mamba found a way to separate aespa from their virtual versions and maybe corrupting Karina.
As per aespa's Twitter post, aespa's new song will be revealed on the 20th of May, 6 p.m. KST.
The aespa tweet was captioned as follows:
"aespa to show their performance of 'Next Level' for the first time via YouTube and V LIVE on 5/20 6 p.m. KST!"
Fans were amazed with the surprise video, which featured the members of aespa and their coming comeback. SM Entertainment has always known to be a trend-setter, thus the 10-minute aespa video was a breath of fresh air for the fans and netizens. Notably, there might be more episodes in the coming days.
