Amazon plans on cementing themselves as a top-notch streaming service with their upcoming "Lord of the Rings" prequel series entitled "The Rings of Powers."

Just recently, Amazon has made fans react wildly with a sneak peak of "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" cast. The company debuted a teaser in January which made fans excited. But their recent teaser with Vanity Fair has truly heated things up for the streaming service.

The beautiful actress Morfydd Clark will be playing Lady Galadriel in Amazon's series. The role was previously helmed by Cate Blanchett in Peter Jackson's "The Lord of The Rings" and "The Hobbit" trilogy.

"The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power" is supposedly 1,000 years before "The Lord of The Rings." But, there won't be other crossover characters as Amazon wants to create new racially diverse roles in order to fire J.R.R. Tolkien's story into the modern world.

Notably, Puerto Rican actor Ismael Cruz Córdova, caused some fans to melt with some photos in Vanity Fair. The star will play Arondir and will be the first person of color to play an elf from J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy world as per Amazon's show.

Amazon's "The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power" series will also feature Iranian-born actress Nazanin Boniadi and British actress Sophia Nomvete, the first black woman to play a dwarf in a J.R.R. Tolkien's middle-earth.

Not all were thrilled to see these teaser photos though as some netizens have criticized Amazon for trying to make their series 'woke'. Regardless, the execs of "The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power" series have stood firm in their choices.

The series from Amazon will also be further promoted before it airs in September of this year, taking the total costs of "The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power" more than $1 billion.

If "The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power" ends up becoming a success, Amazon will surely be catapulted into the spotlight regarding their status as a streaming service.
