Red Velvet's Joy

As of writing this article, previously on the 4th of June, Red Velvet's very own Joy was featured on KBS's music show, "Music Bank." Joy went on to promote "Hello," her most recent solo debut.

A lot of Red Velvet fans and Joy's personal fans were really excited to see Red Velvet's Joy perform for the first time as a K-pop soloist, Joy's solo performance went on to garner both positive and negative reviews, regarding her performance and what she was wearing.

First of all, a lot of fans did not like that Red Velvet's Joy went on to lip-sync her performance. This was unnecessary to a lot since Joy is known for her angelic voice already. A lot of her fans noted this to be a waste of potential.

A couple of fans also noted that Red Velvet's Joy had dance moves that were not too complicated, which means that she could have performed "Hello" with no issue at all.

Previously, Red Velvet's Joy went on to perform on "Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook" and it was evident that she had an amazing voice. This just adds more to the disappointment as fans really did not expect Red Velvet's Joy to lip-sync.

Second of all, fans also did not like the outfit of Red Velvet's Joy. Although fans believe that her personal visuals somewhat made the performance tolerable, it was still not as good as people expected from the Red Velvet member. Fans really thought her stylist could have done better.

Although fans were generally excited and happy to see Joy perform her solo debut, fans really wanted SM Entertainment to go all out on their K-pop idol.

Hopefully moving forward this will not be the case, but regardless, fans will support the members of Red Velvet, may it be a solo or group release.
