An Apology, Refunds, Fan Sign Updates, & More, Source Music Releases Statement On GFRIEND

Not long after the viral news of the sudden disbandment of GFRIEND, Source Music has recently dropped an official statement. In the statement, Source Music apologizes for the out-of-no-where announcement of their disbandment.

Source Music also went on to address the concerns of fans following GFRIEND's disbandment.

Multiple fans began questioning a lot of details and Source Music answered them by posting the recent statement. Notably, Source Music will make all existing GFRIEND social media accounts active. But specific things like the ability to write new posts, will be suspended after a while.

Moreover, Source Music announced that the agency would be giving out refunds to GFRIEND's fans, also known as BUDDYs, on their memberships. Refunds will also be given to the BUDDYs who were all chosen to be a part of GFRIEND's supposed fan signing.

"Hello. This is Source Music.

First and foremost, please allow us to express our regret for causing concern to all fans with the sudden announcement of the conclusion of the artist contract.

We would like to once again thank all fans who have expressed their boundless love for GFRIEND.

We are aware of the concerns as well as requests being made by fans regarding plans for the management of GFRIEND content following the conclusion of our company's exclusive artist contract. We are striving to ensure that we can address these concerns as best as we can. While there has not been sufficient time following the decision to finalize all details regarding these issues, we would like to provide an overview of what has been decided in order to assist you in continuing your experience with GFRIEND content and services. [...]"

GFRIEND's disbandment was really sudden and took the K-pop world out of nowhere. Hopefully the members will find a way to promote together due to their huge fanbase but whatever happens, BUDDYs will always support the members of GFRIEND and their endeavors.
