Mnet’s ‘Kingdom’ Update! SF9 Negative For Coronavirus But Taeyang To Self-Isolate

SPOTV News reported on the 6th of May that a backup dancer who was performing with the members of K-pop boy groups on Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War", iKON, THE BOYZ, and SF9 for a collaboration stage among the groups was tested positive for COVID-19.

To confirm said alleged reports, Mnet said, "A dancer who participated in the 'Kingdom' recording on the 4th of May was diagnosed with COVID-19. We received this news just today, on the 6th of May."

To further give details on the situation, Mnet shared the following statement:

"An epidemiologic investigation is currently being carried out. According to our internal assessment, there seem to be no cast members or staff members who came in close contact with the backup dancer. Not only iKON, THE BOYZ, and SF9, who performed with the backup dancer, but all cast members, including BTOBStray Kids, and ATEEZ, as well as all of the production crew and staff members, are receiving preemptive testing. As we receive the results and guidelines, we will diligently adhere to them and cooperate."

Updates from JYP Entertainment confirm that all members of Stray Kids, alongside their staff, were negative with COVID-19. Ultimately good news that will surely put netizens and fans at some ease.

Moreover, another "Kingdom" participant has tested negative for COVID-19. 

It has been confirmed that SF9 members from FNC Entertainment were tested negative for COVID-19 after SF9 got immediately tested after the issues.

To confirm the matter, FNC Entertainment commented:

"Hello, this is FNC Entertainment.

We would like to inform you that SF9 conducted preemptive Covid-19 tests on the 6th of May, and all the SF9 members and staff tested negative.

After the test, SF9 member Yoo Taeyang was classified as a close contact of the positive case according to the contact tracing, and he will undergo self-isolation. The other members will undergo their regular schedules.

We apologize for the concern caused to our fans, who must have been worried. We will continue to prioritize the health of our artists and comply with the health authorities' guidelines."
