On the 6th of June, JYP Entertainment uploaded a video entitled "ITZY CONCEPT FILM #1." They posted this on their official YouTube channel. In the concept film, Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna flexed their visuals and charms. The video also portrayed a chess-inspired concept.
But as soon as the video was posted, some fans shared their opinions on ITZY's first concept film. MIDZYs did praise the girl group and talked about how their upcoming comeback had a new and unique concept.
Though some fans mentioned the past controversy of Lia made them question her inclusion. Some netizens were not happy at all, even comparing ITZY's Lia to LE SSERAFIM Kim Garam who is currently facing a school violence controversy.
Previously in February of 2021, Lia was the center of a school bullying controversy. This all began when a citizen claimed to have been assaulted by the idol while attending middle school together.
At the time, the netizens claimed that Lia borrowed money from their friend. Following this, the ITZY member did not pay back, even bullying another friend. Though the allegations were acquitted, JYP Entertainment has asked the police to reinvestigate the case.
