Netizens & UAENAs Saddened As IU Cancels Supposed 2022 Concert!

Netizens and K-pop fans were recently greeted with amazing news as K-pop soloist IU was confirmed to be gearing up for her 2022 Concert, supposedly taking place at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium.

Notably, media outlets went on to see if the K-pop soloist will proceed with her concert, looking at the "Seoul Information Communication Plaza," an information disclosure system, and it was found out that IU had decidedly canceled her concert for 2022.

Specifically, the agency overseeing this (the Seoul Sports Facility Management Office) revealed via an official statement an official notice reading that the cancellation of approval for the use of Jamsil Olympic Stadium and refund of usage fees 2022 IU Concert.

Furthermore, an official from the Seoul Sports Facility Management Office revealed to media outlets on the same day, that the request from IU's management came in and they took care of the administrative process for the cancellation of the K-pop soloist's concert.

Ultimately, this means that IU was gearing up for her 2022 concert at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul, but it looks like cancellation was imminted to consider the current seriousness of the COVID-19 outbreak in South Korea.

IU has not publicly revealed her plans for her 2022 concert, making the public unaware until recently. Thus, netizens and UAENAs (the fandom name of the K-pop soloists) had no idea regarding IU's concert for this year.

Media outlets have gone on to ask for a response in regards to IU's canceled 2022 concert from EDAM Entertainment, the agency of IU. But the K-pop soloist's label has chosen not to comment on the matter yet.
