‘INVU’ Reaches Legendary Status As Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon Attains 1st Perfect All-Kill Of 2022!
To the delight of netizens and SONEs (the fandom name of SNSD), Girls' Generation's Taeyeon has completely swept the Korean charts with her most recent comeback "INVU"!
Recently, Hanteo Chart went on to announce that Girls' Generation Taeyeon's new K-pop album "INVU" sold a total of 142,019 copies during the first week of dropping it, spanning from the days slated on the 14th until the 20th of February.
This marked a new personal record for SNSD's Taeyeon. The K-pop soloist's previous first-week sales record, which was slated by her 2019 album entitled "Purpose," was 132,818 and the K-pop idol was able to surpass her own record with more than 10k album sales.
Furthermore, Girls' Generation Taeyeon's "INVU" also became the fourth-highest first-week sales of any album by a female soloist in the history of Hanteo. The other K-pop female soloists who attained this are BLACKPINK's Lisa with "LALISA," BLACKPINK's Rosé with "R," and IU with "LILAC."
Notably, this made fans of the K-pop soloist extremely happy and proud, but just recently, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon went on to reach a milestone no other K-pop artist has achieved since the beginning of 2022.
Specifically, Instiz's iChart revealed that Girls' Generation Taeyeon's new title track "INVU" had achieved a perfect all-kill, making it the first song of 2022 to reach this amazing feat.
For a track to be awarded a certified all-kill, the song must rank #1 on the daily and 24Hits charts of Melon, the daily and real time charts of Genie and Bugs, VIBE's daily chart, and the real time charts of FLO and iChart.
Adding to this, for a song to reach a perfect all-kill, it also means that it topped iChart's weekly chart.
Congratulations to Girls' Generation's Taeyeon for the amazing achievement!
