TWICE, BTS, IU, aespa, & More, Industry Professionals Name 2021’s Top Songs!

On the 4th of November Joy News 24 held a survey for 200 Korean entertainment industry insiders that are all either producers, reporters, or employees from either labels or networks.

The employees were asked to vote on what they believed were the top tracks of 2021.

Notably, NCT 127's "Sticker," ONF's "Beautiful Beautiful," DAY6's "Right Through Me," Baek Yerin's "A Walk," and Sandeul's "Slightly Tipsy" were also named as top songs in the survey but below are 12 tracks chosen as the top songs of 2021.

#8. MSG Wannabe M.O.M's "Foolish Love", TWICE's "Alcohol-Free", and Jeon Somi's "DUMB DUMB" - 3 votes each

MSG Wannabe M.O.M's "Foolish Love" has gone on to peak at 1st place on the Gaon weekly chart.

Peaked at the 6th spot on the Gaon weekly chart and #12 on the Gaon monthly chart. Furthermore, the MV for TWICE's "Alcohol-Free" currently has more than 188 million hits on YouTube.

Peaked at the 8th spot on the Gaon weekly chart and #12 on the Gaon monthly chart, the MV for Jeon Somi's "DUMB DUMB" currently has over 97 million hits on YouTube.

#7. BTS & Coldplay's "My Universe", IU & AKMU's "NAKKA", and IU's "Celebrity" - 6 votes each

Peaked at #2 on the Gaon weekly chart, the MV for BTS & Coldplay's "My Universe" currently has over 100M million hits on YouTube.

IU & AKMU's "NAKKA" has gone on to peak at #1 on the Gaon weekly chart and the 2nd spot on the Gaon monthly chart and its MV currently has more than 11 million hits on YouTube.

Peaked at the top spot both on the Gaon weekly chart and on the Gaon monthly chart, the MV for IU's "Celebrity" currently has over 112 million hits on YouTube.

#6. Lee Mujin's "Traffic Light" - 7 votes

Peaking at first place both on Gaon weekly chart and on the Gaon monthly chart, the MV for Lee Mujin's "Traffic Light" currently has more than 6.4 million hits on YouTube.

#5. IU's "Lilac" - 9 votes

Peaked at #1 both on the Gaon weekly chart and on the Gaon monthly chart, the MV for IU's "Lilac" currently has over 64 million hits on YouTube.

#4. BTS's "Permission to Dance" - 12 votes

Peaking at 2nd and 3rd spot respectively on the Gaon weekly chart and 3rd place on the Gaon monthly chart, the MV for BTS's "Permission to Dance" currently has over 363 million hits on YouTube.

#3. Brave Girls' "Rollin'" - 14 votes

Peaking at the top spot on both the Gaon weekly chart and on the Gaon monthly chart, the MV for Brave Girls' "Rollin'" currently has more than 9.9 million hits on YouTube.

#2. aespa's "Next Level" - 46 votes

Peaking at the 2nd spot on both the Gaon weekly chart and on the Gaon monthly chart, the MV for aespa's "Next Level" currently has more than 173 million hits on YouTube.

#1. BTS's "Butter" - 76 votes

Peaking at the top spot on both the Gaon weekly chart and on the Gaon monthly chart, the MV for BTS's "Butter" currently has over 605 million hits on YouTube.
